Huazhou Chen is Professor of Mathematics in the College of Science at Guilin University of Technology. He has an MSc in Mathematics from Jinan University and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Shanghai University.
He is the member of the 12th Council of the Guangxi Mathematical Society, is the member of the Digital Guilin Construction Committee, is the expert of Academic Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education of P.R. China, is the expert of the Guangxi Development Strategy Research Association, is the review expert of Science and Technology Plan Project (of Guangxi and Hebei provinces, China), and is selected as members in the Training Program for Thousands of Young and Middle-Aged Teachers in Guangxi Province.
Huazhou has interests in Computational Spectrometry, especially in the field of near-infrared/mid-infrared spectroscopy. He has worked on applications in many areas including agriculture, food, environment and medicine, and the chemoinformatic analytical methodology that has been developed to deal with high-dimensional data that arises from this and similar applications.
He has been hosting 4 projects supported by national or provincial natural science fundings, and published research papers in international magazines such as IEEE T. Ind. Inform., Agr. Water Manage., Chemometr. Intel. Lab. Syst., Sci. Total Environ., Food Anal. Methods, Comput. Electron. Agr., Spectrochim. Acta A Mol. Biomol. Spectr. Also, he has obtained 2 authorized national invention patents and 4 authorized registrations for computer software copyrights.
